When glass frogs lay their eggs, called a clutch, they are attached to a leaf by a sticky substance. The clutch is protected by the male frog. They are laid on leaves hanging above a small body of water so that when the eggs hatch, they can fall into the water. The frogs stay submersed in the water for ten months until they have fully developed into mature frogs.
