Glass frogs are amphibians that have a translucent abdomen where you can see its internal organs like its heart. The picture above shows some of its organs. Scientists are unsure why they have translucent skin. Not only that, but the top of their green skin tricks many of their predators. For example, many glass frogs have spots on top of them to fool other animals and think that they are frog eggs.

These frogs have many other interesting features like their size. Glass frogs are about the size of a quarter which makes them hard to find in the wild. They also have very good eyesight which helps them find their prey easily. Some people will compare glass frog eyes to Kermit the Frog eyes. These frogs are commonly mixed up with tree frogs which are also of bright green color. The difference between the two animals is that glass frogs having front-facing eyes whereas tree frogs having side-facing eyes.
Kermit the Frog's eyes look a lot like glass frog eyes.
